Good timing

Now that the kids are going back to school,

it’s time start to start thinking about getting a routine together.

I’m a big believer in that success leaves clues,

And the most successful people I’ve come across,

have all one major thing in common.

They set goals, proper SMART ones

Specific, Measureable, Achievable, Realistic, Timebound

(flashback to business studies in school)

So they don’t just say stuff like

“I’m gonna try get fit now”

“I want to lose some weight”

Instead, right down how much weight you want to lose,

or what waist size trousers they want to fit into.

And what date do you want to achieve it by.

First of all, write it down

& put it somewhere where you can see it everyday.

Then tell somebody else, who will keep you accountable.

Focus on the next 90 days,

it will take you right up to just before Christmas time

Any longer is too far away,

so you’ll be tempted to out it on the long finger.

90 Days means you need to get cracking right away,

& break it down week to week

so you know if you’re on track.

So consider this.

Your opinion & your habits are directly responsible

for whatever place you are at right now.

If you are not happy in this place,

then you need to be willing to have your opinions challenged

& be open to changing your habits.

If you refuse to let that happen,

you will never leave that place you are currently in.

If you feel lost & don’t know where to start,

get help from someone who’s results you respect,

If you don’t respect their results, you won’t value their opinion.

It’s human nature.

Most people won’t do this.

But f#ck being like most people.
